Contributing author
Sukhman Rekhi is a recent psychology graduate and author from Sacramento, California. Her clinical and research experience includes work in the areas of multicultural counseling, community health psychology, social justice advocacy, and women’s issues. She is passionate about BIPOC mental health, identity, and relationships, as well as coping mechanisms for anxiety and trauma. She’s a thoughtful and passionate storyteller, and when she’s not using words to connect with her communities, she can be found creating masterpieces at the nearest craft table, imitating Stephen Curry’s three-point shot on the basketball court, watching TV shows while writing her own screenplay, and reading authors like Audre Lorde who remind her that self-care is an act of feminist warfare.
