What is responsibility?

Responsibility is an agreement plus an action. It is when a person takes responsibility for their actions and decisions. Responsibility means that a person willingly does what they know should be done and does not blame or point fingers when something is not done. BasicallywWe say we will do something and we do it.

Of course, everyone makes mistakes and none of us is always responsible for them. But when we take responsibility, we take responsibility for our lives and meet the expectations we set for ourselves.

Why accountability is so hard

There are many reasons why we don’t keep our promises. Some of them include Fear of failure, idlenessor simply a lack of interest in the goal we have set for ourselves. But when it comes to well-being, it seems we have a particularly hard time taking responsibility. We may be afraid of failure, tired and not feel 100% committed to the goals we have set for ourselves. So it’s difficult.

One way to make your happiness goals easier to achieve is to talk to others about them. Since you probably don’t want to disappoint your friend, you are more likely to work on your goal.

Find a responsible buddy

Not only can we tell people about our health goals, but we can also have someone hold us accountable. Tell a friend what you plan to do and ask them to check in with you to make sure you actually did what you planned.

Message your friend on Facebook, send an email, or call someone.

I know it can be difficult (you’re afraid of not being able to do it and looking bad). But that’s exactly the point. Our fear of embarrassment can override our fear of actually doing what we said we would do. So give it a try and see if it helps you achieve your goals more easily.
