What are you particularly good at? It doesn’t have to be anything big. For example, some people are very good at cooking. The others are very good listeners. Others are really good at reading. What are you good at?

Activity: Identifying Personal Strengths

In this activity, write a list of your strengths. Take 5 minutes to list as many strengths as possible.

What are your strengths?

Thank you to everyone who submitted their responses to this activity! We can now share some ideas from our community.

In the Berkeley Well-Being Institute community, people have all kinds of strengths. Some of you are creative and have skills in drawing, art and cooking. Some of you are good parents. Others do a great job. The fact is that they all have strengths.

Our community has also put a lot of effort into thinking about how these assets can be used.
Here are some interesting examples:

  • Someone who was good at music realized they could start a band.
  • Someone with good communication skills realized they could create engaging videos.
  • Someone who was resilient realized that they could try again to pursue a goal that had previously failed them.

Keep it up!
