Practice makes perfect, even when it comes to luck
Very often we think that happiness is something that happens to us. But happiness is more of a skill (or set of skills). When we practice these skills, we can more easily become satisfied with ourselves.

It turns out that happiness comes from developing certain skills like positivity, resilience and mindfulness. Developing these skills will make you happier. And if you practice them enough, they become automatic.
What do I mean by “automatically”? Now think about the time when you first learned to ride a bike. It was really hard at first, wasn’t it? But when you ride a bike now, you just do it… automatically… without much effort. With luck, it can happen…if you practice the right skills. It is no longer necessary to work to “find” happiness. It will simply exist.
