Activity: Find out what makes you happy
To increase your own happiness, you must first understand how different skills contribute to your happiness. For the following activity, please consider the contributing factors your Happiness. Everyone is different, so there are no wrong answers. The goal is to understand what matters to you.
What did people think happiness meant?
Factors that contribute to happiness in our community:
- Family, friends, relationships and pets
- Sun, nature and being outside
- Do things you love
- Thought processes such as gratitude and self-compassion
- Exercise
- Financial security and safety
- Targeted or impactful work
- To achieve, create or accomplish something
These answers illustrate how easy it can be to get a little boost of happiness, whether it’s spending time with loved ones, getting some fresh air, or simply doing something you love. Try it.
