You hear it all the time; “Trust yourself”, “Listen to your instinct”, “What does your intuition say? » It doesn’t matter what you call it – call it one way Instinctive reaction, let’s call it intuition – This helps us make better decisions. This type of knowledge is considered one of them Product of normal brain activity – a sort of reflex. The body’s reflexes are important for making good decisions. We owe this to our reflexes when we have difficulty throwing ourselves from the top of a building, when we back away from a burning flame, and when we fight, flee or freeze in response to a predator. Our intuition guides us without us even knowing it. It therefore seems useful to know what our intuition wants to tell us. But how do we know what our intuition says?

Measure your intuitive reactions

Sensie is pioneering a product that helps people measure their intuitive response for the first time. Mike DannheimSensie’s founder tells me his app taps into the body’s innate intelligence. When I first spoke to Mike, I was skeptical. How could my body know what my mind doesn’t? As a pragmatist and researcher, I wanted to see the data.

Mike enthusiastically highlighted the research behind Sensie – a series of studies This suggests that our innate truths can be known through the subtle ways we move our bodies. To demonstrate, Mike wonders if soda is good for his body. “Now just do a Sensie,” Mike said, asking the question and waving his phone in the air, “and we can recognize it with a good degree of certainty as to whether your answer is true or not, based on how you moved your arm.

What can Sensie tell us about ourselves?

The team is conducting research to test potential uses for Sensie across industries. It turns out that our intuitive decisions are usually the right ones, and Senie can see that.

In addition first results show that Sensie can help people quickly identify behavior change programs that are right for them. The potential impacts here are enormous. Large companies might be able to personalize their behavior change programs and save millions of dollars wasted by putting the wrong people in the wrong programs. Likewise, it may be beneficial for counselors (especially online counselors) to ask their patients for a sensory analysis to clarify which treatment approach is best for them.

The future of intuition

It seems like everywhere we look, new products are being developed to measure brain waves and physiology. This is the first time I have seen such measures. intuition. I can’t wait to see where Sensie goes next.
