Why We Fail to Boost Our Happiness
Why we fail to increase our happiness
If you’ve ever tried to increase your happiness, it might not be your fault. Most people who decide to be happier don’t know where to start.

During the semester, I read the textbook, attended office hours, and participated in a study group. However, I barely passed the course. I just wasn’t ready at all to absorb what I had learned. Without learning these basic physics skills in high school, it was almost impossible to pass the course.
My poor grades in physics probably won’t surprise you. I started the course without knowing the basics and I was already way behind the other students. For this reason, advanced courses require you to complete prerequisites, learn basic skills, or test your knowledge before you can enroll. If you don’t know the basics, you will have difficulty absorbing the information taught. And I learned skills far beyond my abilities.
If you’ve ever tried to increase your happiness, it’s probably not your fault. You’ve probably learned skills above your skill level. If that were the case, you would be doomed from the start, just like I was in physics. And it happens all the time.
Many happiness products directly teach you sophisticated happiness skills. It would be like trying to teach yourself calculus before you learn addition.
If I did that, you would be more likely to fail. But your failure would be my fault, because expecting you to learn complex happiness skills before you master the basics is not a good teaching method.
This is why with us Happiness programWe always start at the beginning.
You are beginning to develop important foundational happiness skills. You start off on the right foot and can therefore be more successful. So if you need help knowing where to start to increase your happiness, check out our Happiness program.
